Music Monday #7

Hello Everyone,
I've been listening to a song recently that deserves its own Music Monday. This song won 2 VMAs last night and the artists did an amazing performance of this song: Same Love by Macklemore. This song is such a sobering song. It really makes you take a step back and think for a second. I was pleasantly surprised how well the "rap" went with the music and the female voice. What makes this even more interesting is the rap is slow almost speaking instead of rapping and the rap has the most important lyrics in the entire song. I was so moved by this song that when I heard it for the first time I cried. This song effects so many on a personal level. I hope this song has impacted and influenced people enough to make the steps towards accepting gays and their right to marry. It truly is all the Same Love. We can only change ourselves and then the group will follow. Check out this amazing song if you haven't heard it already.

Listen, Reflect, Change

Music Monday #6

Hello Everyone,
Today I'm gonna talk about some songs I'm obsessed with right now.
The first song is called Brave by Sara Bareilles. I love the sound of this song and the message the video gives off. I really want to learn the dance that everybody does in this video. Watch it you won't be disappointed.

The next song is Blurred Lines by Robin Thicke featuring t.i and pharrell. I believe this is the song of the summer. My Dad, sister and I love this song and always jam to it. Check it out. It's a good song.

The last song I've been obsessed with is I Love It by Icona Pop featuring Charli XCX. Even though the lyrics aren't that complicated the song is a feel good get up and dance song. If someone where to play this at their party I would definitely be singing along and dancing.

That's all for this Music Monday. It's the last Music Monday before school starts. With school starting I will have to try twice as hard to keep up with my blog. My schoolwork comes first then my blog. I will try to type up all my blog posts a few days before the post date. I'll have a calendar in my work space that i can write on and have specific dates for blog posts to be up. Thanks for the support and I'll catch with a new video coming later this week.

Music Monday: Concert Edition #5

Hello Everyone,
Over the weekend I went to The Package Tour which consists of Boys 2 Men, 98 degrees, and New Kids On The Block performing. Although I only knew some of the songs I had a great time. The vocals were amazing and they all had great stage presence. My sister, my brother in law and I took loads of pictures on our phones and iPods but their pictures were the only ones that turned out good. I took videos along with the photos but they were all too long to email to myself and so only the pictures will be shown.

These are just some of the pictures we took at the concert. I really had a lot of fun at the concert and I would suggest going to see any one of these bands in concert if you ever get the chance. I know this is a Wednesday and it says Music Monday but just go with it. It took forever to get the pictures to email to myself and upload them and so it is a Wednesday Music Monday instead of a Monday Music Monday.
Thanks. I'll catch ya later this week.

The You Generation

Hello Everyone,
As many of you know I am on YouTube a lot of the time, I tend to discover some amazing YouTube channels. My most recent discovery is a YouTube channel called The You Generation. The You Generation is an international search for amazing talent. They have competitions revolved around singing, dancing, comedians, anything you can think of. If you win you get recognized by some of the top people in the entertainment business and Simon Cowell is The You Generation's right hand man. Simon Cowell and his team look at all the submission and personally choose a winner. I would suggest if you are interested in this YouTube channel and wish to see which competitions are going on and will be coming up that you subscribe to their YouTube channel.  The link is down below.
