It's Monday and you know that means: Music Monday is coming your way. There has been so much new music that has come out these past few weeks and I want to talk about some of my favorites.
First is Katy Perry's new song Roar.
I absolutely love this song. I think the message is fantastic and it's just all around a feel good song.
The second is by a artist I have a lot of mixed feelings about: Miley Cyrus. We all saw her horrid performance at the VMA's but her new song is absolutely amazing. The song is so raw and open, I think this shows Miley's growth as a human and artist more than her twerking on Robin Thicke.
Next artist is one many consider a queen, her performance at the VMA's was stellar and her never fails to please, It's Lady Gaga. Applause is her new song out after not releasing a song in 2 years. I'm going to be perfectly honest and say that the beginning of this song turned me off from the song at first but after i listened to the entire song it is fabulous. The music is great. The balance between the vocals great. Everything about this song is great. Lady Gaga never fails to catch our ears with her catchy tunes.
Lastly, is a song that my friend Abi suggested I look up. It's called Royals by Lorde. When I first heard this song, I hated it. I'll admit it I hated it. Now, I am in love with this song. It sounds like if pop and R&B had a baby. It has such a unique sound that its one of those songs that people either love or hate. Check it out if you haven't heard this diamond in the rough than go check it out.
