Skincare Routine and My Skin Type

Hello Loverlies,
Today I want to talk about something all of us have: Skin and a skin type! My skin has been annoying since about the age of nine. That's when I started getting zits. I didn't really know what zits were, but I got them. It wasn't until the other girls in my grade started getting zits that I had any clue what they were. These zits didn't really bother me until someone pointed them out or told me I had spots on my face. It was only then that I got self-conscious.

In 6th grade my acne got worse. By the time 6th grade rolled around I had started my periods, I really bleach blonde hair becuase of the sun and my shirt that I wore in my school picture made me look unflattering to say the least. I had a whitehead rash, when I say rash I mean my nose and forehead were covered in whiteheads. I was really uncomfortable with my self and how I looked. If I remeber correctly my mom took me to a dermatologist at this point. He gave me some medicine (in pill form and I couldn't/can't swallow pills). I didn't take this medicine unless I opened the capsule pour the powder into a bowl of applesauce and stirred it up.

This lasted on and off for about 3 years. Eventually I stopped taking the medicine all together. My face got worse but not as bad as in 6th grade. I was still upset. Naturally I was picking and popping my zits. Eighth grade came and went will some people still commenting on my face and saying that I should do something or suggesting products to help my face. Every product I used didn't help it made it worse or it burned. I thought I wouldn't find anything that would help. Until one magical day....
One day my mom took me to see a dermatologist/plastic surgeon again to see about a pesty mole on my back. This is a dermatologist that I had seen previously in 5th grade to get a blood pimple on my cheek removed. It was a fairly warm November day, right after thanksgiving we went to the office. He checked out my mole said it wasn't anything to be worried about. He took notice to my face as people do when they speak to you directly and said do you want to clear up your acne? I said sure. I told him(well my mom told him) about my history with acne products and medicine. He said that they sell an acne kit that works for his daughter and her friends.

That kit was called Erase It. It was not cheap. It was 202.85 dollars but its worth every penny. From the first night I used it my skin has felt healthier, lighter, more moisturized and it has cleared up my acne so unbelievable well and fast. Within the first 2 days of using this kit my mom saw a difference in my face. The kit comes with a gel cleanser, a refining gel, a moisturizer and tinted sunscreen. I love my new skin and I hope it keeps improving.

Next weeks post is gonna have something a bit different than what this blog is usually. Thanks and have a lovely week!

~ Britt
